Monday 8/25 In the Business Management book complete section 1.1 in chapter 1 on the importance of business management.  Complete all of Assessments on page 20, the questions and answers.  Print with a header that has your name, the chapter and the section, and the name of the class in it.  Show the process in the math skills not just the answer.
Tuesday 8/26 Talk about section 1.2 of chapter 1 and complete an internet quiz on famous entrepreneurs.
Wednesday 8/27 Complete section 2.1.
Thursday 8/28 Complete section 2.2
Friday 8/29 Test on chapter 2

Monday 9/1 Labor Day    No School
Tuesday 9/2 Go over section 3.1 on Exploring Careers and look at Career Cruising.
Wednesday 9/3 Complete section 3.1 assessments all except for assessing communications skills.  Talk about section 3.2 on A Future In Management.
Thursday 9/4 Prepare a personal resume using Figure 3-7 on page 71 as a guide.  Use a table format with 2 columns and 9 rows.  Before printing hide the lines on the table using table format. 
Friday 9/5 Print resume and turn in.  If time permits wait to have your work reviewed by your instructor and revise and reprint.  Begin setup for cover letter.

Monday 9/8 Finish cover letter using the sample on page 73 figure 3-8 as your guide.  Print.  Complete assessments on section 3.2 page 75 all and preparing for competitive events on page 77 then print.
Tuesday 9/9 Complete the assessments in CareerCruising, choose a career, and prepare a career research paper using info in Career Cruising and other websites as works cited.  You must have 3 or more sources.  Guidelines will be handed to you by your teacher.
Wednesday 9/10 Work on career report.
Thursday 9/11 Work on career report, works cited page.
Friday 9/12 Hand in rough draft with table on contents page complete. (teacher will have sample; insert after title page in the report sequence)

Monday 9/15 Hand in final copy of resume and cover letter.  Test on chapter 3.  Work on PowerPoint slides about your career using your report as a guide.
Tuesday 9/16 Complete your PowerPoint.  Give a presentation about your career to the class.  Print your slides for your teacher.  If you have notes on the slides then print the notes and slides, if not, print 6 slides per page.
Wednesday 9/17 Chapter 4 section 1 on Ethics in Business
Thursday 9/18 Section 2 in chapter 4 on Social Responsibility; complete the case analysis on page 101 in memo format.  On page 102-103 complete all of it (on the reviewing vocabulary only define terms) and on the applying management principles only complete the draft of the code of ethics and tell why you chose those items. 
Friday 9/19 Chapter 4 assessments due at beginning (first 40 minutes) of class (5 sections--include preparing for competitive events but exclude "applying management principles").  Test on chapter 4

Tuesday 9/23 Chapter 5 section 2 on workers and the law.  Complete section 5.2 fact and idea review and case analysis on page 129 and page 130 recalling key concepts and preparing for competitive events.
Wednesday 9/24 Test on chapter 5.  Begin chapter 6 on making decisions in a market economy.
Thursday 9/25 Complete 6.1 assmts fact and idea review, assessing math skills, and case analysis.  Discuss section 6.2 on a business cycle and complete fact and idea review on page 149 and on page 150 recalling key concepts and preparing for competitive events.
Friday 9/26 Test on chapter 6.  Begin chapter 7 on international trade.

Monday 9/29 Complete section 7.1 on international trade all except critical thinking and 7.2 fact and idea review on page 171, recalling key concepts on page 172 and preparing for competitive events on page 173.
Tuesday 9/30 Find two articles on e-commerce in Asia and tell the class about them.
Wednesday 10/1 Six Weeks test
Thursday 10/2 No class.  1/2 day.
Friday 10/3 Powder Puff game and pep rally
