SUBJECT:       Computer Lab Rules and Consequences

 

Misuse and abuse of the equipment and supplies in the computer labs will not be tolerated.

 

This includes:

  • Opening computer programs and applications other than those directed to be opened by the teacher
  • Downloading any computer program or application
  • Using the internet unless directed to do so for class
  • Marking on tables, computer mouse pads or other equipment
  • Deliberate damage of equipment or supplies

 

On the first offense, students will be given a warning (if appropriate) and/or ask to turn off their computer for the remainder of the class.

 

On the second offense, students, teachers, and administrators will decide course of action including in school suspension or permanent dismissal from the computer lab or from using school equipment.  The student would then be responsible for doing work outside of class in order to have credit for the course.

 

***Books should be returned to their proper place either under the table or as per instructor at the end of each block. Failure to logout properly will result in a deduction from your daily grade.

 

***All students must have signed a Wise County Use form.  These will be kept on file.  Please check to see that you have those forms with Mrs. Blanken, Mrs. Gilly, or  Mrs. Baker.

 

I have read the rules for the computer labs for Powell Valley High School and will obey those rules.
